Before you begin
US crochet terms. You’ll need scissors and a yarn needle. Skills: chain and single crochet. Turning chains do not count as stitches.
Suggested gauge: 16 single crochet stitches and 18 rows per 10 cm. Gauge is flexible for these projects; size and yarn usage will vary with your tension.
Make it, step by step
- Chain 31.
- Row 1: single crochet in the second chain from the hook and each chain across (30 stitches).
- Chain 1 and turn.
- Rows 2–34: single crochet in every stitch (30 stitches).
- Chain 1 and turn after each row except the last.
- Fasten off and weave in ends.
- Wash and lay flat to dry.
A little finishing touch
Choose your own colour and check your stitch count at the end of every row. Follow the yarn label for washing and care.
